Although motorcycle use decreases during the winter, many riders will still use their machines all year round even when the risk and severity of hazards increases. Excess salt residue can cause skidding problems for motorcyclists and so it is worth considering modern techniques using pre-wetted salt and reducing the quantity and granularity of road salt.
