For local campaigns there are various avenues for financial sponsorship or ‘in kind’ support for promotional activities. Organisations involved in the retail or promotion of motorcycling (both on and off road) often offer enthusiastic support. This also applies to the proprietors of motorcycle ‘gathering points’ including race circuits or public venues. Insurance companies are interested in rider safety and well designed campaigns. Coordinated support will enhance targeted campaigns at little or no cost to the local authority.
The pooling of local authority human and financial resources is desirable. Co-operation with local commercial interests can be helpful and safety camera partnerships may be able to supply financial and staff support.
